Ibrahimaj: Water sports offer opportunities to boost active tourism and the economy

TIRANA, Aug 8 /ATA/ Albania is expanding its tourism offering each year through businesses introducing new products, services and experiences, with the aim of meeting European standards and diversifying the sector.

Minister of Economy and Innovation Delina Ibrahimaj today highlighted CREW SHOP as an example of a business bringing Jobe Watersports products, one of the well-known brands in the water sports industry, to the Albanian market.

In a social media post, Ibrahimaj praised the initiative as an example of promoting safety, quality and a new culture of water sports, bringing both residents and visitors closer to the sea.

Businesses that introduce new products, services and experiences meeting European standards are helping to enrich Albania’s tourism offering, the minister said.

She added that water sports offer further opportunities to develop active tourism, diversify the country’s tourism offer and generate greater added value for the Albanian economy.

“Supporting businesses that invest in innovation, quality and new business models remains a priority as we work to build a more competitive economy and an Albania with an increasingly diverse tourism offering,” Ibrahimaj said.
