PM Rama conveys a message of integrity carrying trust, empathy, service and commitment

TIRANA, August 6 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama highlighted trust, empathy, service and commitment in a handwritten social media address to the public.

The post follows the rollout of Besa (Word of Honour), a political pact intended to realign governance with civic expectations.

To replace a sense of alienation with inclusive policymaking, while the government decisions are no longer experienced as a betrayal, this platform ensures citizens feel heard, informed and respected by the administration.

Named after the traditional code of trust, the ‘Besa’ platform aims to channel public anger and street protests into mature, constructive political change.

Earlier, the head of government emphasized that the name “Besa” was deliberately chosen because, according to him, there is no other word that better expresses the need to rebuild the trust between the government and the citizens.

According to him, the platform aims to turn criticism into value, anger into change, questioning into testing and protest into a test of the maturity of democracy.

The political document was presented during a meeting of the Socialist Party Parliamentary group, following weeks of protests in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, otherwise known as the “flamingo revolution”. /m.q/j.p/p.s./
