TIRANA, Aug 5 /ATA/ Shkodër Mayor Benet Beci said a joint traffic management plan has been implemented by the Municipal Police and the State Police to address the increased flow of vehicles during the summer season.
In a social media post, Beci said the summer season brings back many residents living abroad while also attracting more visitors and tourists, resulting in increased traffic on the city’s main thoroughfares.
According to Beci, the responsible authorities are deployed on the ground to help ease congestion on the busiest road sections and coordinate the implementation of traffic management measures.
“The Municipal Police, in cooperation with the State Police, have drawn up a joint action plan to facilitate the movement of vehicles throughout our city,” Beci said.
He called on residents and motorists to cooperate with State Police and Municipal Police officers, follow their instructions and strictly adhere to traffic regulations to help ensure the safe and smooth flow of traffic for everyone.
