Noise levels in Durrës monitored by police during summer tourist season

TIRANA, Aug 4 /ATA/ Durrës Police, working alongside Italian law enforcement as part of measures to maintain public order and safety during the summer tourist season, carried out further patrols and on-site checks in areas identified as being at risk of noise pollution.

Police said the inspection teams measured noise levels in both outdoor and indoor venues across the city of Durrës, as well as in the Golem and Plazh areas.

Police said the measurements carried out in line with the standard procedures established for this purpose were within the permitted limits.

At the same time, awareness meetings were held with owners and managers of businesses whose activities generate noise from music, focusing on compliance with the legislation in force and permitted hours for musical performances.

During the inspections, authorities also verified compliance with the permitted hours for music-related activities in open-air venues and residential areas, which are from 11:00 to midnight.
