TIRANA, July 29 /ATA/ The Special Operations Regiment in Zall-Herr hosted a graduation ceremony for the Commando and Reconnaissance Operator courses, featuring live operational demonstrations by trainees and officers that highlighted their intensive training.
Attending the event were Minister of Defense Ermal Nufi, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Arben Kingji, senior military leaders, officers and family members of the trainees.
Nufi congratulated the trainees on the successful completion of two of the most demanding courses of the Armed Forces, describing this moment as the crowning of a test of character, professionalism and dedication.
The minister noted that modern conflicts are changing due to technology, artificial intelligence, drones, and hybrid threats. A modern military now proves its worth through high readiness, deep professionalism, and rapid adaptability.
“Albania is an active part of the NATO 3.0 transformation and is seriously investing in building modern Armed Forces, capable of contributing with dignity to the collective defense of the Alliance”, he said.
By raising defense spending to 2.6 percent of GDP, the government reaffirms its focus on national security that keeps people first, emphasized Nufi. /m.m/j.p/p.s./
