Rama condemns Berlin attack: No tolerance for hatred, violence or extremism

TIRANA, July 26 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama expressed his sincere solidarity with Germany and the German people following the tragic incident at the Pride Parade in Berlin.

In a social media statement, Rama said that hatred, violence and extremism cannot be tolerated in any form.

According to Rama, “they threaten not only the safety of our citizens but also the very values on which our democracies are built. We must stand united against them, with determination and without hesitation.”

“In these difficult times, I express my solidarity with the victim’s family and wish all those injured a swift and full recovery. Albania stands with Germany,” Rama said.

One person died and at least 16 others were injured, several of them in critical condition, after a van drove into a crowd during celebrations for Berlin’s Christopher Street Day (CSD) LGBTQ+ parade.
