TIRANA, July 20 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama said today that 11 thousand children and young people with disabilities benefit from the government’s recent decision to double economic support.
Together with Minister of Health and Social Welfare Evis Sala, PM Rama held a conversation today at the “Jonathan” Social Center, on the doubling of economic support for children and young people with disabilities, as well as the new health and social guarantees for their caregivers.
“With love and hope, we gathered here today to discuss a milestone achieved just a few weeks ago: the government’s decision to double support for all children with special needs”, said Rama.
According to him, the rising living costs meant that support for these children had fallen drastically short. We promised to double their assistance to help meet these challenges—and today, we made it happen.
Rama also focused on the decision to pay health and social insurance for their caregivers.
The prime minister emphasized that the state budget will provide for the social and health insurance for all mothers, just as if they were working.
The prime minister assured that Albania has a reliable social protection system because it is now more functional, more efficient and faster. /j.p/p.s./
