TIRANA, July 17 /ATA/ Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Andis Salla joined a panel on the national “Double Your Entrepreneurship” program to discuss how this powerful new funding instrument is empowering Albanian businesses. There were highlighted key opportunities for modernizing farms, advancing agro-processing, expanding rural tourism and making local enterprises more competitive.
The National Program “Double Your Entrepreneurship” is a new financial instrument of the Albanian Government, created to facilitate access of small and medium-sized enterprises to financing and to promote investments in priority sectors of the economy.
During his speech, Minister Salla emphasized that the program is launched at a key moment for development of the agricultural sector and creates concrete opportunities for farmers and agri-food enterprises.
“‘This is an opportunity that gives not only large businesses, but also small businesses and farmers the opportunity to grow, invest and move into a different standard of development,” said Minister Salla.
The minister appreciated that the transformation of Albanian agriculture is closely linked to the process of European integration and the approximation of the sector to European Union standards.
Salla said that the representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will be on the ground to guide and assist businesses throughout the application and implementation process of the program. /m.q/j.p/p.s./
