TIRANA, July 17 /ATA/ Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha held talks with his Serbian counterpart Marko Đurić in Washington, on the sidelines of a ministerial meeting focused on addressing the resurgence of politically motivated terrorism.
The two officials discussed recent developments and exchanged views on future prospects.
In a post on social media platform X, Hoxha said that during the meeting he reiterated Albania’s position regarding what he described as unacceptable remarks made by a member of Serbia’s government concerning Kosovo.
“I once again reaffirmed Albania’s clear and steadfast stance on the unacceptable and irresponsible remarks recently made by a member of Serbia’s government. I also stressed the need to unequivocally reject rhetoric that foments tensions, undermines regional stability and cooperation, and runs counter to the principles of good neighbourly relations and European values,” the foreign minister said.
“This is what diplomacy represents: a commitment to open dialogue, looking each other in the eye, confronting reality, and addressing differences with responsibility,” Hoxha wrote.
