Startup Albania funding boosts innovative businesses

TIRANA, June 29 /ATA/ – The Economy and Innovation Minister Delina Ibrahimaj said on Monday that the government support provided through the Startup Albania programme was delivering tangible results in the growth of new and innovative businesses.

In a social media post, Ibrahimaj highlighted startup SunEasy as an example of what she described as the positive impact of the programme’s 2024 grant scheme.

“With the right support, an idea can become a growing business. SunEasy is a concrete example of the impact Startup Albania funding can have on a startup’s development,” Ibrahimaj said.

According to the Minister, since receiving funding under the 2024 grant scheme, SunEasy has expanded its workforce from one employee to four and increased its client base from 13 to 21.

She added that the company’s revenue growth had accelerated, with revenue increasing by 63%, compared with 37% before receiving the grant.

“These results show that investment in startups fosters growth, innovation and the creation of sustainable businesses,” Ibrahimaj said.

She said SunEasy’s performance demonstrated the positive impact of financial support in strengthening Albania’s startup ecosystem by helping young companies expand, create jobs and develop innovative ideas.
