TIRANA, June 15 /ATA/ – The OSCE Presence in Albania is supporting the Albanian State Police in strengthening its human resources management by facilitating and funding a study visit to Police Scotland headquarters in Edinburgh.
The initiative forms part of the OSCE’s long-term support for Albanian law enforcement institutions and aims to improve the effectiveness of criminal investigations through the exchange of international best practices.
The OSCE Presence in Albania said on Monday the study visit will provide participants with first-hand insight into Police Scotland’s operational procedures, management standards, and advanced software solutions used to support the effective management of human sources.
Ahead of the visit, Head of the OSCE Presence in Albania, Ambassador Michel Tarran, met with the ASP delegation and underscored the critical role of collecting reliable and credible information in criminal investigations, noting that human sources often play a decisive role in successfully combating serious and organized crime.
This initiative forms part of the OSCE Presence’s broader support to Albanian law enforcement in advancing Intelligence-Led Policing as a key approach to preventing and combating crime.
