TIRANA, June 3 /ATA/ The DP chairman Sali Berisha announced that the Democratic Party is entering a new phase following the National Assembly, with its main priorities focused on renewal, vision, modernization, and organization.
He emphasized that this platform should guide the work of every party leader and member of parliament, describing it as the only path to fulfilling the Democratic Party’s political mission.
“The only way to accomplish our mission lies in these directions. The final stretch of our marathon can be successfully completed only when we—first and foremost as MPs, then as leaders, and subsequently the leaders and members of the Democratic Party at every level—pause to repeat this motto to ourselves,” he stated.
Berisha called for the opposition to strengthen its political and organizational efforts in order to effectively challenge the government, arguing that this approach is essential for transforming and revitalizing the Democratic Party and restoring hope among citizens.
According to Berisha, the ultimate objective is to ensure the restoration of free and fair elections and to secure electoral victory.
“The path that will enable the Democratic Party to fully accomplish its mission lies in restoring free voting and achieving success in the general elections,” Berisha stated.
He underlined that the opposition must enhance its public communication and defend its political programme.
Berisha stressed that the Democratic Party alone is responsible for developing and modernizing itself, fully reorganizing its structures, and promoting its political vision, while also highlighting the need to turn citizens’ concerns into concrete legislative initiatives.
Berisha also emphasized the importance of translating citizens’ concerns into concrete legislative initiatives.
