Albania, Czech Republic deepen academic cooperation on Albanian studies

TIRANA, May 23 /ATA/ – Albania’s Academy of Sciences on Saturday discussed cooperation with Czech partners on the publication of a study by Czech Albanologist Robert Dobra, the institution said.

Academy Vice President Vasil Tole met with Czech Deputy Ambassador Irena Žižka and researcher Robert Dobra to explore ways to strengthen academic and cultural ties between the two countries.

The talks focused on support for the study “Albania in Czech Visual Memory”, which examines Czech artistic and visual representations of Albania and Albanians, an initiative facilitated by the Czech Embassy in Tirana.

The Academy of Sciences and its Art Study Centre will provide support for research, preparation and publication of the work, which is considered a contribution to Albanian studies and international scholarship on Albania.
