TIRANA, May 18 /ATA/ Parliament Speaker, Niko Peleshi, held a meeting on Monday with the Regional Director for Europe of the National Democratic Institute, Scott Bates, on strengthening cooperation with the Parliament of Albania to enhance transparency, accountability, and the modernization of parliamentary processes.
In a social media statement, Parliament Speaker Peleshi underscored that the meeting highlighted the enduring cooperation between the Parliament and the National Democratic Institute (NDI), as well as the strengthening of the Parliamentary Institute as a success story of this partnership.
He added that the discussions focused on the continued support for the Visitors’ Center and civic education programs, including the implementation of the “mobile parliament” initiative in schools and universities nationwide.
“Gratitude for NDI’s continued support in enhancing parliamentary accountability, transparency, and public trust,” Peleshi wrote.
