TIRANA, May 18 /ATA/ – President Bajram Begaj hosted Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad bin Sultan Al Muraikhi on Monday, with both sides expressing support for stronger political and economic cooperation.
During the meeting, Begaj praised the very good relations between Albania and Qatar and reiterated Tirana’s readiness to deepen bilateral cooperation and increase investment flows between the two countries.
According to President’s press office, the talks confirmed that relations between the two states have developed in a spirit of mutual trust, respect and readiness for cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral levels.
Discussing recent developments in the Middle East and regional security challenges, Begaj expressed Albania’s solidarity with the people of Qatar in light of tensions and conflicts affecting the region.
