Albanian Investment Corporation signs agreements to launch “Corpus of Independent Institutions” project

TIRANA, April 8 /ATA/ The Albanian Investment Corporation signed Memoranda of Understanding with public partners to implement the strategic project “Corpus of Independent Institutions,” an initiative aimed at modernizing administrative infrastructure and enhancing the quality of services for citizens.

During the signing ceremony, the director of the Corporation, Elira Kokona, emphasized that the project represents a significant step toward urban and institutional transformation.

“This initiative aims not only to improve citizens’ access to services but also to revitalize the area by transforming outdated public properties into a modern administrative complex, with a visible functional and urban impact,” Kokona stated.

According to her, the “Corpus of Independent Institutions” will consolidate several of the country’s key independent institutions into a single headquarters, creating operational synergies and significantly enhancing the efficiency of public services.

The complex will house institutions such as INSTAT, the Ombudsman of Albania, the Competition Authority, the Commissioner for the Oversight of the Civil Service, the Civil Service Commission, the Public Procurement Commission, as well as the Information and Data Protection Commissioner.

This project is expected to have a positive impact not only on improving working conditions for public administration but also on enhancing transparency and citizens’ access to independent institutions.

The “Corpus of Independent Institutions” is regarded as one of the key investments in strengthening the rule of law and institutional capacity, while simultaneously contributing to the urban development of the capital.
