TIRANA, April 5 /ATA/ – Investment from Kosovo into Albania has surged over the past year, positioning Kosovo among the country’s leading foreign investors.
According to the latest data from the Bank of Albania, investment inflows from Kosovo recorded significant growth, reaching 153 million euros in the first nine months of 2025 – an increase of 139% compared to the same period a year earlier.
The stock of Kosovo business investment also rose markedly, climbing to around 550 million euros by the end of the period, up more than 40% year-on-year.
The expansion is largely driven by strategic acquisitions of Albanian companies, strengthening the presence of Kosovo-based businesses in key sectors of the economy, including fashion and food services, indicating a clear trend toward diversification.
Economic experts say the growth reflects not only rising interest from Kosovar businesses in the Albanian market, but also deepening economic integration between the two countries and increasing confidence in Albania’s development potential.
