TIRANA, April 3 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama, also chairman of the Socialist Party, held a meeting today at the Socialist Party assembly in the municipal unit No 3 in Tirana.
Speaking about the European integration process, PM Rama said that, “We have a concrete, historic opportunity to finalize our European integration”.
“Today, the Socialist Party holds the responsibility to seize a truly historic opportunity for Albania. Never before has fate offered us such a shining moment,” Rama said.
Rama emphasized that Albania’s EU integration is now a matter of mutual strategic interest, driven by both Tirana’s aspirations and the EU’s commitment to enlargement.
“We must act now while the door is open. EU membership transforms Albania from a confined nation into a native part of the European family”, said Rama.
The head of government noted that European integration and strong institutions are key to guaranteeing a stable democracy in Albania.
PM Rama also took the opportunity to mock the opposition, attributing the Socialist Party’s success to the hard work and commitment of its structures. /m.q/j.p/p.s./
