Rama: We will intervene in oil market to protect citizens

TIRANA, April 1/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama, also chairman of the Socialist Party, held a meeting today with the Socialist Party assembly in the Municipal Unit No 4 in Tirana.

Rama said that the government is taking concrete steps to intervene in the oil market through a public company, with the aim of protecting consumers and increasing transparency.

Rama said that side by side with the public company, there is being drafted the legal framework for strategic fuel reserves.

According to him, the increase in oil prices is related to both the international crisis and internal market problems, including informality and the lack of full control over the circulation of fuels. /m.q/j.p/p.s./
