Government approves priority areas in four municipalities under “Mountain Package”

TIRANA, April 1 /ATA/ – The government has approved priority development areas in four municipalities across Albania under its “Mountain Package” initiative, State Minister for Local Government Ervin Demo said in a press statement after a regular cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

The municipalities of Saranda, Kuçova, Gramsh and Tropoja have joined the process of identifying zones with development priority, Demo said, adding that cooperation with local government units is continuing steadily.

He noted that the number of applications across the country has risen significantly, now exceeding 500, as more municipalities join the initiative each week.

According to Demo, additional municipalities are expected to complete the approval process for priority areas in the coming weeks, aiming to boost local economic development and address specific territorial needs.
