TIRANA, March 24/ATA/ Queen Geraldine University Hospital is advancing specialized medicine through the launch of its new Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today in the social media a view of the modern laboratory that offers advanced microarray genetic analysis, ensuring accurate results through rigorous international standards.
” Smart, swift, and secure diagnostics for the patients”, wrote Rama.
As a national reference center, the Molecular Diagnostics Unit at ‘Queen Geraldine’ University Hospital is specialized in advanced genetic tests and molecular innovation.
The center consists of four distinct workspaces, each dedicated to specific, protocol-driven processes. Only authorized activities should be performed within their designated rooms.
The lab is divided into four specialized zones: The Extraction Room for isolating DNA, the Pre-PCR Room for preparing master mixes and reaction components, the Amplification Room for performing PCR, and the Post-PCR/Analysis Room for agarose gel electrophoresis and sequencing analysis.
The laboratory also features a dedicated genetic counseling room for case-specific consultations. /e.i/a.f/p.s./
