TIRANA, March 2 /ATA/ The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, expressed his gratitude today during the party’s weekly forum in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, recognizing those who gather every Monday.
Berisha expressed deep gratitude to the idealistic and courageous individuals who gather every Monday, highlighting that the week belongs to the brave and those have risen in protest. He also greeted those who took part in Saturday’s protest.
Berisha praised the tens of thousands of citizens who participated in the “epic march” through Tirana, calling it a demonstration of indomitable citizenship and determination. He also accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of taking positions that run counter to the fight against corruption.
He referred to a statement by the Prime Minister, saying, “He publicly declared to every Albanian that the fight against corruption is more harmful than corruption itself.”
According to Berisha, this statement was made at a time when, in his view, there had been public reactions and messages from international representatives regarding the strengthening of the rule of law.
Berisha criticized the Prime Minister’s statement that the fight against corruption is more harmful than corruption itself, stating it was made during a time of strong protests by Albanians against corruption.
