Albania to host Corridor VIII Economic Forum

TIRANA, Feb 5 /ATA/ – Albania will host the Corridor VIII Economic Forum on Feb. 18, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs said on Thursday.

The Ministry underlined that Europe is entering a decisive phase, where connectivity, sustainability and regional integration are becoming key pillars of security and economic development.

In this context, the Pan-European Corridor VIII, which links the Adriatic and Black Sea, is emerging as one of the region’s most strategic infrastructure and connectivity projects.

As part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), the corridor connects Albania, North Macedonia and Bulgaria, extending towards Italy and Romania. It is designed to strengthen regional connectivity, enhance collective security and contribute to east-west resilience in Europe.

The forum in Tirana will bring together public authorities, European institutions, international financial organisations and business representatives to accelerate investment, deepen regional cooperation and translate infrastructure projects into tangible economic benefits for citizens and companies.

The advancement of Corridor VIII is expected to support sustainable economic growth, create new trade opportunities and strengthen European integration in the region. Albania reaffirmed its commitment to close cooperation with regional and European partners to make the corridor a driver of integration, sustainable development and shared prosperity.
