Fiscalization platform is now back to full functionality

TIRANA, Jan 29 /ATA/ The Tax Administration has officially reported that the recent issues encountered with the Centralized Invoice Issuance Platform have been successfully addressed, and the platform is now back to full functionality, providing normal service to all taxpayers.

In light of the challenges faced during this period, the Tax Administration has reiterated the procedures to be followed when, due to objective reasons, issues arise in the invoicing process, in order to ensure the continuity of economic activities and compliance with legal obligations.
According to the Tax Administration, approximately 139,000 taxpayers who use software for issuing invoices should continue issuing their invoices as usual, even in cases where they are not immediately assigned a unique identification code (NIVF).
With the full restoration of the platform, these taxpayers are required to fiscalize any unfiscalized invoices, ensuring the generation of a unique code for each issued invoice.

Meanwhile, approximately 3,000 taxpayers who do not have fiscalization software and use the Central Invoicing Platform can either obtain suitable software solutions for their activities or approach the relevant Regional Tax Directorate to acquire a special invoice book.

This book is also used in case of a defect or disruption of the software’s operation. Invoices issued in this manner must be reported to the Tax Administration within the legal deadlines.

Regarding the fiscalization of invoices in the customs clearance process, the Tax Administration clarifies that the legal deadline is 7 days from the date the goods are released for free circulation. In cases where this deadline is exceeded due to issues in accessing the platform, the Regional Tax Directorates will review each situation on a case-by-case basis.

The Tax Administration urges taxpayers to strictly follow the outlined guidelines to ensure compliance with the current legislation and the smooth operation of their economic activities. /j.p/sm/
