TIRANA, Jan 23 /ATA/ The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, announced on Friday that the DP refuses to cooperate with the “narcotics-linked majority.”
During a press conference, when asked about the progress of the Special Commissions for Electoral and Administrative-Territorial Reform, Berisha affirmed that they would “set up the commissions for territorial reform as well as the electoral reform together with opposition parties.”
“With the full support of the media, we will design and present our territorial reform to the Albanian people,” stated Berisha.
He further emphasized that “we will implement a genuine reform.”
“It is our deputies who will lead the process. Oerd Bylykbashi and Luçiano Boçi will be the ones to chair the commissions on behalf of the Democratic Party, as they will work together with the opposition on both the territorial and electoral reforms,” said Berisha.
Berisha ruled out any cooperation with Edi Rama, emphasizing that a battle is inevitable.
