TIRANA, January 22/ATA/ There is work underway to rehabilitate rainfall-damaged embankment slopes in the municipality of Fier.
This is an action undertaken by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in cooperation with the Municipality of Fier.
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Andis Salla shared in the social media footage from the relevant teams on the ground working to strengthen and fully rehabilitate infrastructure damaged by the heavy rainfall.
Salla emphasized that uninterrupted efforts are in place to fix the embankment damage. “Remedial works on the initial embankment crack in the village of Hasturkas are nearing completion while work is underway in the “Goose House” area for the full rehabilitation of the damage,” the minister wrote.
He added that the intervention will be carried out on every damaged embankment, to guarantee the protection of agricultural land and the safety of the local communities. /a.f/p.s./
