Over 750,000 passengers processed at Saranda port in 2025

TIRANA, Jan 15 /ATA/ – Saranda, known for its crystal-clear beaches and archaeological and natural landmarks, continues to attract large numbers of domestic and international tourists.

The southernmost port of Saranda, the main gateway to the coastal town, handled 754,686 passengers from January to December 2025, marking a 21.8% increase over 2024, when the port processed 619,444 passengers, the port’s director, Admir Malaj, told Albanian Telegraphic Agency (ATA) on Thursday.

During the period, 373,266 passengers arrived and 381,420 departed. The figures include ferry, cruise, and tourist ship passengers arriving from Corfu, as well as day-trippers, with peak numbers recorded between June and September.

“August saw the highest monthly traffic, with around 200,230 passengers arriving and departing, followed by 140,692 in September. These figures confirm that Saranda continues to attract year-round tourism,” Malaj said.

The Port of Saranda serves not only the town but the entire Albanian Riviera, acting as a key link for both domestic and international visitors.
