TIRANA, January 15/ATA/ Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha said that the country is facing a severe crisis, blaming the government for the failed management of natural emergencies like the recent floods.
During his speech at the meeting of the DP Parliamentary group, Berisha said that Albanians and international partners expect the opposition to resolve the crisis.
“All of Albania’s friends in Europe and the world expect the DP, expect the Albanian opposition to resolve the dramatic situation in Albania. A NATO member country, a country that claims to be moving towards the EU, is showing before its citizens and the entire world to be an irresponsible clique, a criminal organization that robs its citizens’ night and day,” said the DP leader.
Berisha also focused on the consequences of the floods, adding that they will make an inventory of the floods and compensate all residents when they come to power.
“After 10 days, the prime minister convened the so-called civil emergency committee and did not declare a state of emergency so that there would be no obligation to compensate the damages created absolutely by the indifference, corruption and theft of the institutions of the narco-government,” Berisha said further on.
The leader of the DP guaranteed the citizens of the affected areas that the ruling DP would compensate them for every penny they lost during the floods.
Referring to the immunity of Belinda Balluku, Berisha said that like never before in the history of this country and the Parliament, the prime minister has blocked the constitutional procedure, the constitutional obligation to lift the immunity of the MPs and ministers who are accused by the justice bodies of theft, corruption, and embezzlement.
“This is an unconstitutional act with very dramatic consequences for Albania and Albanians,” Berisha said.
Therefore, Berisha addressed the MPs of the DP Parliamentary group, they must ignite the flames of protest across Albania until the government steps down. /m.q/j.p/p.s./
