TIRANA, January 13 /ATA/ Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Elisa Spiropali reacted today in the social media after Russia’s latest strike against Ukraine, which included the use of drones and ballistic missiles.
“The world witnessed overnight another act of barbarity by the Kremlin regime against Ukraine. Russia launched around 300 drones, 18 ballistic missiles and 7 cruise missiles, deliberately targeting civilians and critical energy infrastructure, in this extremely cold winter weather,” Spiropali stressed.
Spiropali said that Albania openly and strongly condemns these brutal attacks.
“We express solidarity with the victims, their families and all those left without heating, electricity or safety,” Spiropali wrote.
Expressing solidarity with her Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha, FM Spiropali announced that she will visit Kyiv this week to reaffirm Albania’s unwavering support for the Ukrainian people.
“This week I will be in Kyiv alongside you to reaffirm Albania’s unwavering support and our commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence and right to live in peace,” Spiropali emphasized.
The minister underlined that these crimes require a determined and united international response.
“There should be no rest, fatigue or complacency until this aggression ends,” concluded Spiropali. /gj.m/j.p/p.s./
