TIRANA, January 7 /ATA/ President of the Republic Bajram Begaj received today Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Laos People’s Democratic Republic Khamphon Vongsanty who presented the credentials.
Head of State praised the friendly relations between the two countries, based on mutual respect and cooperation.
President Begaj said that there is an opportunity to promote this cooperation in order to achieve concrete results, especially in the fields of economy, tourism and culture.
“Albania,” emphasized the President of the Republic, “attaches special significance to international cooperation in support of peace and stability.”
In this context, the Head of State said that the recognition of Kosovo and the support for its membership in international organizations by the Laos People’s Democratic Republic are a contribution to peace and stability in the Western Balkans region. /gj.m/p.s./
