TIRANA, January 5 /ATA/ Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha expressed his belief today that the opposition will triumph, while guaranteeing that the battle will only stop with the victory of the opposition.
On the platform set up in front of the government building, Berisha said that, “This is a great year for the opposition”.
“This is the year when we will triumph. Albanian people will overthrow the ugly, hated dictatorship that was installed over them and will once again be a free people. We do not expect the Delta forces to land in Surrel because our forces will land there”, Berisha said.
Berisha accused again PM Edi Rama of turning the elections into an electoral farce, while stating that, “His mandates stand on crime”.
“He has taken the opposition mandates. Rama is like Maduro for Albanians, because if Maduro has driven 20 percent of the population out of his country with poverty and misery, he has driven 40 percent of the population out of Albania”, said Berisha.
According to him, “The year 2026 is very similar in history with the year of the fall of communist dictatorships one after another”.
According to him, “A country in which elections are replaced with electoral farce has no sovereignty”.
In his speech, Berisha also congratulated the 35th anniversary of the opposition newspaper “Rilindja Demokratike” coming out, while guaranteeing journalists that the DP program is based on freedom of speech and their dignity. /m.m/j.p/p.s./
