€30.5 million in savings for budget from Centralized Procurement Operator

TIRANA, Dec 31 /ATA/ The Centralized Procurement Operator (CPO) has generated around €30.5 million in savings for the state budget over its first 20 months of operation, thanks to the implementation of the new centralized procurement model.

According to official data, these savings were achieved through the execution of approximately 772 procurement procedures, the standardization of goods and services, increased competition, and strengthened transparency in the use of public funds.

The digitalization of procedures, through the AlbZone platform and internal systems, was a key factor in enhancing efficiency and financial control.

Moving forward, the CPO aims to expand centralized procurement for hospitals and healthcare centers across the country, including standardized medicines, materials, and medical equipment, as well as further developing digital archives and platforms.
