TIRANA, December 31 /ATA/ There has begun in 10 municipalities of the country the compensation of damages caused by the fires during the summer season.
Minister of Defense Pirro Vengu stated today that the government has raised a compensation fund of 191.5 million lekë and has put it at the disposal of 10 municipalities.
Vengu added that the compensation process of the damages from fires that occurred in the period June 15 – September 15, 2025, has begun from yesterday and the National Civil Protection Agency is providing the money to the municipalities, after completion of the full evaluation and verification.
According to him, the distribution of funds will continue throughout January 2026. /m.m/j.p/p.s./
