Rama: We continue work to clear up occupied public spaces from unauthorized constructions

TIRANA, December 4 /ATA/ There is work underway to clear up public spaces from unlawfully built constructions.

The clearing up of public spaces from illegal construction precedes implementation of the “Urban Renaissance 2.0” program, which aims to restore legality to the territory and pave the way to development.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today in social media footage from another intervention of the National Inspectorate of Territory Protection forces in Hani i Hotit and emphasized that work is continuing to clear up occupied public spaces.

The Albanian government has tightened measures to strengthen control over the territory, protect public spaces, implement construction permits qualitatively and punish builders who violate them.

The citizens have reported many cases of violations on the portal dedicated for this purpose “My Public Space”, where so far have been reported 16,487 cases, of which 12,610 cases have been resolved, while another 3,877 are in the review process.

Conceived as a systematic intervention on the ground and not a temporary action, this initiative, which began its implementation in July, is continuing with priority throughout the country. /e.i/ /a.g/p.s./
