TIRANA, December 3 /ATA/ President Bajram Begaj participated today in the 25th anniversary event of the American Chamber of Commerce in Albania.
In his speech, the Head of State highlighted the significance of developing the strategic partnership between Albania and the United States.
“This strategic relationship is also clearly expressed in the continued support that the United States has given to strengthening the rule of law, the fight against organized crime and corruption. This is a crucial support for our democratic progress and the consolidation of institutions,” emphasized Begaj.
While praising the mission and activity of the American Chamber of Commerce in Albania for the development of the country in areas such as: education, culture and tourism, Begaj also emphasized its contribution to strengthening Albania-US economic cooperation.
President Begaj also underlined the significant increase in economic exchanges in recent years between Albania and the United States and the increase in US direct investments in Albania.
In this context, Begaj stated that the achievements so far prove that the potential of economic cooperation is even greater and should be seen as part of a long-term and strategic partnership, just as we consider our political, security and defense partnership. President Begaj also appreciated the importance of cooperation in areas such as new technologies, innovation and Artificial Intelligence, as these will bring knowledge transfer, exchange of expertise, increased business productivity and new investment opportunities. /k.s/r.e/a.f/p.s./
