TIRANA, November 30 /ATA/ Valbona Valley, part of the Albanian Alps National Park, is one of the most frequented destinations by local and foreign tourists all year round.
During the winter season, snowfall transforms the park into a magical place, while the road is constantly maintained to enable uninterrupted movement of visitors.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today a view of Valbona National Park, now covered in snow.
This area of rare beauty is preferred not only by local tourists, but also by foreign tourists, who prefer to get acquainted with the customs or traditions of the northernmost villages of the country.
Being a relaxing oasis at an altitude of 800 meters above sea level, the Valbona National Park knows no seasons, with numerous visitors in every period of the year.
In the interior of the Park, there are also many interesting caves, of which the Dragobi Cave stands out. It has a mountainous climate with harsh winters and heavy rainfall and low temperatures, as well as long periods of frost and wind.
Numerous visitors from different countries of the world, as well as others from different parts of the country and Kosovo, are present every day in Valbona, a tourist area that has earned a good reputation, through the hospitality and tranquility it offers.
Valbona National Park offers a complexity of interesting beauties, just like the Albanian Alps themselves.
Valbona Valley was declared a National Park in January 1996. This park has an area of 8000 hectares and is considered the miracle of the Alps. It is located 25-30 km northwest of the city of Bajram Curri, the center of the Tropoja district.
It borders the Theth National Park and the protected natural area “Gashi River”. Its territory is crossed by the Bajram Curri-Dragobi-Valbona and Çerem highway.
It has high and steep peaks and changes its color palette every season, presenting an extraordinary dynamic of images in the conditions of a valley full of surprises and many labyrinths. /m.m/j.p/p.s./
