TIRANA, Nov 20 /ATA/ – Rainfall intensity decreased overnight across Albania, while road maintenance contractors continued clearing debris and rocks that had fallen from slopes onto several road sections, the Albanian Road Authority (ARRSH) said on Thursday.
The most affected areas included the Tropoje-Bajram Curri-Valbone, Bajram Curri-Fierze, Sopot-Kam, Dushaj-Lekbibaj, Kukes-Ura e Zapotit-Shishtavec, Kukes-Krume, Puke-Fushe Arrez-Fushe Dukagjin, Skurraj-Peshkopi and Elbasan-Qafe Thane roads, though all routes have now been reopened, the authority said.
Water remains present on several other key segments, including Lac-Ura e Drojes, Qafe Gjashtë-Shen Vasil, Krane-Syri i Kalter and Tepelene-Shtepez.
On the Maliq-Lozhan road, at kilometre 13 near Moglica, a rockfall and heavy debris temporarily blocked the route, but crews intervened immediately and normal traffic has been restored, ARRSH said.
All national roads are currently open to traffic, and authorities continue to monitor conditions.
