TIRANA, November 8 /ATA/- Democratic Party MP Jorida Tabaku has reacted to the 2026 draft budget, stating that the economic growth claimed by two sectors is not reflected in the economic reality of Albanian families.
Tabaku emphasized through a video message in the social media that, “The government accepted the price rise. The rising costs of living of at least the basket goods from 30% to 60% has made the Albanian households cost-burdened”.
“On the other hand, the government promised a paltry wage increase. The same goes true for the pensions that have absolutely nothing to do with the reality that Albanian families experience today. The Albanian present-day economy is in the hands of a few and produces for the few. There are two sectors that claim to have greater economic growth, but this is not reflected either in the pockets of Albanian citizens or in the reality of Albanian families. It is absolutely not reflected in this budget either”, stated the DP MP.
She added that we need to change and the economy should work for the majority.
“These steps in the last few months of the current year cannot be appreciated as support for Albanian families. It is not right for Albanian families spending over 40% of their income on living expenses”, said Jorida Tabaku. /p.s./
