TIRANA, Oct 22 /ATA/ Taulant Balla, chairman of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, held a meeting today at the Italian Senate with Stefania Gabriella Anastasia Craxi, Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense.
Joined by Socialist MP Skënder Pashaj, Democratic MP Saimir Korreshi, and Albania’s Ambassador to Italy, Anila Bitri Lani, Balla conveyed his appreciation for Italy’s ongoing support of Albania’s European integration, describing Italy as a strategic ally and unwavering friend.
“We value Italy’s steadfast support throughout Albania’s journey toward EU membership,” Balla remarked, highlighting that both sides concurred on enhancing bilateral cooperation at the parliamentary level.
The meeting also addressed the excellent relations between Albania and Italy, highlighting the growing cooperation across various sectors—from the economy and security to institutional and political collaboration within the framework of the European integration process.
