After 15 years of waiting, 66 families in Lezha receive property titles

TIRANA, October 22 /ATA/  A prolonged process that lasted for more than 15 years came to an end today for 66 families in the city of Lezha.

Municipality of Lezha, in cooperation with the State Cadastre Agency officially submitted the ownership titles for 44 families and 22 service units, 66 in total, putting an end to uncertainty over property for dozens of citizens.

The residents were affected by a construction project of an apartment block that had been pending for years by the investor, leaving them without ownership rights over their homes. Today, thanks to the commitment of the institutions, this process has been concluded and the residents have their ownership certificates in their hands.

“Another promise kept and a concrete step towards guaranteeing legal rights over property”, said Mayor of Lezha Pierin Ndreu.

This is another case of the commitment of the institutions to resolve old ownership issues for residents, a process that is also continuing in other areas of the country. e.xh/j.p/p.s./
