Youth agency to link tourism, culture, sport and young energy

TIRANA, Oct 10 /ATA/ – Albania’s National Youth Agency (AKR) outlined its new vision and strategic direction under newly appointed director Sara Bodo, in an event marking its alignment with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport.

The agency said the initiative aims to strengthen cooperation with institutions, civil society and local authorities involved in youth development and engagement in social, cultural and institutional life.

It also seeks to foster dialogue and collaboration with partner organizations implementing projects that empower young people and promote public awareness of youth-related issues.

Representatives from the EU Delegation in Albania, municipalities, civil society groups and partner institutions attended the event.

Tourism, Culture and Sport Minister Blendi Gonxhja said on social media it was a “special responsibility and privilege” for his ministry to take on the youth portfolio.

“This is both a challenge and an opportunity to build new bridges of cooperation and to connect tourism, culture, sport and the youthful energy that drives our country forward,” Gonxhja said, adding that through the AKR, every young person should have the chance to learn, create and contribute to Albania’s European future.
