TIRANA, Sept 21 /ATA/ – The Albanian capital will host a major triathlon on Sunday, bringing together hundreds of professional and amateur athletes competing in swimming, cycling and running, city officials said.
The race will start at Helen Park near Lake Farka and extend across several main roads, according to the Tirana Municipality.
To ensure safety and smooth operations, municipal and state police have implemented a traffic management plan, with road closures in effect from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Several routes in the capital city will be affected, with certain roads set to be closed causing traffic diversions.
Emergency and police vehicles will retain unrestricted access on all affected routes. The municipality urged residents to plan travel accordingly and support the athletes participating in the event.
