PM Rama: Reconstruction of “Vaçe Zela” Art Center in Lushnjë nears completion

TIRANA, Sept 21 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama on Sunday shared images of the nearly completed reconstruction of the “Vaçe Zela” Art Center in Lushnjë, calling the project a key investment in the city’s cultural revival.

The center – originally built in 1974 – will return as a vibrant cultural venue featuring a modern theater hall, cinema, moving stage, puppet theater, exhibition space, and art courses for youth, Rama said.

The redesigned complex will host a wide range of performances and events, from music and theater to community gatherings.

“This investment restores to Lushnjë a renewed cultural space that will enliven the city’s artistic life,” Rama wrote.

The multi-phase project, financed by the Albanian government and implemented by the Albanian Development Fund, involves both structural restoration and full interior refurbishment. Some original architectural elements will be preserved and restored as part of the modernization.
