TIRANA, September 12/ATA/ The opposition began the first plenary session of the 11th legislature of the Assembly with protests against the government.
The leader of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha and several opposition MPs blocked the Parliament’s rostrum holding banners in their hands.
The leader of the DP asked to take the floor not according to the agenda. But, the chair of the first plenary session, the oldest MP Vasil Llajo, interrupted the leader of the democrats.
“He did not read the names of the real MPs of the crime party, the Socialist Party, but only the figureheads”, said Berisha, while other democrat MPs joined him on the rostrum.
“This is a narco-Parliament. There is a regulation. No committee is changed without changing the regulation. No committee! Yes, but there is no regulation for him, there is no Constitution”, said Berisha, referring to Prime Minister Edi Rama’s proposals for the reorganization of the permanent Parliamentary committees. /m.q/j.p/p.s./
