TIRANA, Sept 10 /ATA/ Personnel from the EOD Company of the Engineering Battalion have continued their mission to clear the territory of identified unexploded ordnance across the municipalities of Tirana, Vorë, Mirditë, and Dibër.
The Ministry of Defense on Wednesday highlighted the efforts of the skilled and experienced specialists from the EOD Company of the Engineering Battalion.
“They conduct assessments of munitions of different calibers, manage their safe transportation and disposal, thereby safeguarding the lives and property of the civilian population,” the Ministry’s statement reads.
The EOD expert team has been continuously trained and certified by NATO through joint exercises in Latvia, enabling them to handle any hazardous situation while ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.
EOD is a reliable and professional unit operating according to NATO standards, capable of performing highly challenging tasks. Every day, they face challenges that demand courage, determination, and utmost dedication, while also being engaged in missions abroad.
