TIRANA, Sept 5 /ATA/- Albania will host the first-ever Saudi Cultural Week in Tirana later this month, showcasing the kingdom’s heritage and contemporary arts as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral ties, Saudi Arabia Ambassador Faisal bin Ghazi Hafzi said on Friday.
The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Faisal bin Ghazi Hafzi, said the event, scheduled for September 16 – 20 at Tirana’s Palace of Congresses, represents an excellent dialogue, exchange and bilateral cooperation opportunity.
The Cultural Week will feature art and craft exhibitions, music and theatre performances, film screenings, cultural sessions and presentations of traditional Saudi cuisine.
“The Saudi Cultural Week in Tirana reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to building bridges of cultural and civilizing communication with different countries around the world, and embodies the important role of culture in Vision 2030,” Hafzi said in a statement.
He added that the programme offers Albanians a comprehensive view of Saudi culture, combining traditional and modern elements across music, cinema, literature, crafts, fashion and gastronomy.
The Ambassador noted that the initiative comes as part of deepening relations between Saudi Arabia and Albania, expanding cooperation beyond politics and the economy to include culture and knowledge.
Saudi Cultural Week in Tirana is organized within the framework of Albania’s International Cultural Weeks, an initiative of the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation aimed at promoting intercultural dialogue and strengthening international partnerships.
