TIRANA, August 26 /ATA/ Chairman of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha congratulated today the newly-elected Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo Dimal Basha and wished him success in his duty and the Assembly of Kosovo good luck.
Writing in the social media, Berisha stated that after a procedure that lasted several months, Kosovo, in accordance with the rules of procedure, elected Speaker of the Assembly that emerged from the February 2025 elections.
“After a procedure that lasted several months, Kosovo, in accordance with the rules of procedure, elected Speaker of the Assembly that emerged from the February 2025 elections. On this occasion, on behalf of the DP, I wish the elected Speaker Dimal Basha success in his duty and the Assembly of Kosovo to make a good start and have good work,” Berisha wrote.
The Assembly of Kosovo elected the MP of the Self-Determination Movement Dimal Basha as Speaker of the Assembly.
In the 58th occasion to constitute the Assembly, the proposal of the Self-Determination Movement was approved with 73 votes in favor, 30 against and 3 abstentions. /m.m/r.e/p.s./
