TIRANA, Aug 22 /ATA/ – The container terminal at Albania’s main port of Durres handled 128,213 container units (TEUs) in January – July 2025, up 9% from the same period last year, official data showed on Friday.
The increase reflects the terminal’s strong performance in serving logistics operators and the regional market, further consolidating Durres as a key freight hub in the Balkans.
With expanded capacity and ongoing infrastructure upgrades, the port continues to raise service standards and attract more international trade flows, the port authority said.
