Albanian soprano Inva Mula stages concert in ancient Durrës amphitheatre

TIRANA, Aug 20 /ATA/ –  World-renowned Albanian soprano Inva Mula gave her first-ever performance at the ancient amphitheatre of Durrës with a concert titled Melodies of the Mediterranean, Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Thursday.

The government head took to the social media to share images from the event, praising what he called an “extraordinary performance” by Mula, pianist Ekland Hasa and cellist Redi Hasa, “under the echo of history and the sounds of the Mediterranean’s most beautiful melodies.”

The concert featured the children’s choir Okarina and a repertoire arranged to reflect the character of the coastal city.

Ekland Hasa orchestrated pieces drawn from Turkey, Italy, Spain and Croatia, while performing alongside his brother Redi.

The audience, including both residents and tourists, experienced what organisers described as a musical journey along the Mediterranean coast in one of Albania’s most historic venues.

Officials said the event further highlighted Durrës as a growing centre for cultural tourism.
