TIRANA, Aug 11 /ATA/ – More than 33,500 passengers passed through Albania’s main seaport in Durrës between Friday and Sunday, the port authority said on Monday.
A total of 20,120 passengers arrived and 13,388 departed during the three-day period, along with 10,066 vehicles, including cars, trucks and trailers.
Ferry operators ran double sailings to meet peak demand during the summer tourist season.
The port authority said operations at the ferry terminal proceeded normally under a special plan to manage the increased passenger flow, with close coordination among port, customs, private operators and security services to ensure fast processing and avoid delays.
